My Issues

What the writer needs from you

The brief says the purchase includes both volumes and all 30 chapters. However, the client material describes this URL as the Volume 1 test bank, and the product title specifically says Volume 1: To 1877.

Part 1The product scope is contradictory

“Questions for every chapter in both volumes”

I followed the brief in the main page, listed Chapters 1–30 and stated that both volumes are covered. I left the final bundle explanation as a placeholder because this could be wrong.

We need confirmation of whether $35 buys:

  • Volume I only
  • Both volumes as one bundle
  • Two separate products or downloads

This must be resolved before publication because the current coverage claim may misrepresent the product.

Part 2Actual question types, answer-key structure and explanations were not supplied

“Describe the question types students recognise from Canvas or D2L and state that answers are marked and briefly explained, provided that this is true of the actual files.”

“Whether explanations appear throughout the full product or only in the sample”

The material does not say whether the full bank contains only multiple-choice questions or also includes true/false, matching, short-answer or other formats. It also does not confirm whether every answer has an explanation or whether the answer key is supplied as a separate file.

I used {{ACTUAL_QUESTION_TYPES}}, described the answers as marked and avoided claiming that the full product contains explanations throughout. However, I did claim that complete answer keys are included and can be kept separate, which still needs confirmation.

A product file or complete format specification would resolve this.

Part 3Chapter and total question counts were missing

“Each row should show: Volume, Textbook chapter number, Exact chapter title, Included question type or types, Number of questions”

No total count or chapter-level counts were provided.

I used placeholders for the total and each chapter count. I also left question types out of the individual table rows because those types are unknown.

We need a chapter-by-chapter inventory showing the number and type of questions in each file.

Part 4The sample questions could not be checked against a confirmed textbook version

“All sample questions, choices and explanations must be checked against the relevant chapter of The American Yawp.”

I wrote original questions using established US history facts and the chapter topics in the brief. However, no exact textbook file, online-text snapshot or confirmed version was supplied, so I could not complete a line-by-line check against the version tied to this product.

The samples should be checked against the exact edition or online version before publication. This is especially important where wording or chapter placement may have changed.

Part 5The edition and update policy were missing

“The exact edition or version the bank follows”

“How we handle revisions to the online text”

“The real update policy attached to the product”

The client material identifies the Volume I book and its editors, but it does not provide an edition number, publication date, ISBN, online-text version or revision date. It also does not explain whether buyers receive later updates.

I used {{EXACT_EDITION_OR_ONLINE_TEXT_VERSION}} and {{PRODUCT_UPDATE_POLICY}}.

We need the precise source version and a clear update policy, including whether updates are free for past buyers.

Part 6Refund and exchange terms were missing

“State the actual refund or exchange policy and how the buyer requests help.”

The 24/7 support service was provided, but no refund or exchange rules were included.

I directed buyers to support and used {{REFUND_OR_EXCHANGE_POLICY}}.

We need the actual policy for digital purchases, including what happens if someone buys the wrong volume or edition.

Part 7Flashcard and teaching-platform compatibility was not confirmed

“Explain which included file can become a question-and-answer flashcard set and how it can be imported into Quizlet or Anki, if the supplied format genuinely supports that use.”

“Do not promise direct import, auto-grading or one-click compatibility unless the actual files provide it.”

Only PDF and Word files were confirmed. No import-ready CSV, tab-separated file, LMS package or tested integration was supplied.

I described a manual copy-and-paste method from Word and clearly said that direct import, automatic grading and one-click compatibility are not promised. This is less useful than the requested import guidance, but it avoids making a false compatibility claim.

If direct import is supported, we need the actual file format and tested platforms.

“Direct them to the free official PDF before they make the wrong purchase.”

I explained the difference and told readers to use the discussion-questions PDF on the official American Yawp site. I did not provide a destination URL because no confirmed link was supplied.

We need the current official PDF or teaching-materials URL so the developer can link the text correctly.

Part 9Product and site review data were missing

“Use the real product rating, review count and recent reviews.”

“Never invent reviews.”

No product rating, review count, review text or site-wide rating was provided.

I used {{PRODUCT_RATING_REVIEW_COUNT_AND_VERIFIED_RECENT_REVIEWS}} rather than creating reviews.

We need verified review data. If this product has no reviews, we need confirmation of that and any genuine site-wide rating that may be labelled as such.
